Raising healthy children is a primary objective of the Alleghany County Partnership for Children. Woven into many of our services is a focus on children’s health and wellness, including an emphasis on accessing medical care through a primary provider of medical services. Families are encouraged to visit their child’s primary provider of medical care for well child check-ups and immunizations.

  • APFC is participating with BE ACTIVE KIDS, which is Dedicated to improving the health of North Carolina children ages birth to five.
  • 4 year old children can participate in the countywide Preschool Screenings held each summer. Children receive a developmental screening along with dental, vision and hearing screenings.

Staff at the Partnership for Children are always happy to assist you with locating needed services for your young child and family. For more information please contact our office at (336) 372-2846.
